On Tuesday, Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg stated Liverpool could make a late attempt to sign Ryan Gravenberch who’s unhappy with his current situation at Bayern Munich.
The midfielder ‘wants to leave’ the Bavarian club before the window closes on Friday and there could be movements in this case, even though he hasn’t received an official offer just yet.
That’s according to Sport1, who state the Premier League is the ‘most likely destination’ for the 21-year-old, where Liverpool are keen to sign him.
It’s claimed the former Ajax man is on Jürgen Klopp’s radar and that the Reds have been in contact with his agent since February, which could help them in the potential deal.
Sport1 state Manchester United are expected to ‘rival’ Liverpool in the battle to sign the player as they are also showing interest in him.
The Netherlands international joined Bayern in 2022 and had a disappointing debut season in Germany. He’s now set his sights on changing clubs, to improve his chances of representing Oranje at the Euros.
Bayern’s initial plan was to keep him but they seem to have changed their stance as Sport1 state it’s possible for Gravenberch to leave in the next few days.
This would please both Liverpool and Manchester United as they are looking to bring in another midfielder. The Merseyside club have been in contact with the Dutchman’s agent since February and this may help them get ahead of the Red Devils in the transfer race.
