L’Equipe seem to be enjoying rubbishing claims from Spanish radio, and perhaps with good reason. Every year there are a constant stream of claims from several Spanish radio shows, and whilst it can’t doubted there are some scoops, there’s probably too much credibility weighted on them generally.
Not happy with contacting Alexandre Lacazette’s agent and getting him to rubbish claims of a visit to Atletico Madrid and an agreed deal, L’Equipe have looked at recent Kylian Mbappe to Manchester United claims too.
Cadena Cope stated Manchester United have made two offers for Mbappe, one for €80m and the second at a colossal €110m. It was claimed the second offer had been submitted after the first leg of Manchester City’s Champions League tie against Monaco.
L’Equipe quote a Monaco executive denying receiving any Manchester United offer, or any offer from anyone: “ASM has not received any offer from any club and in any case has no desire to sell Kylian.”
Monaco could be lying, but they have little reason to.
If they have rejected €110m from Manchester United, or even €80m, then it’s a positive story for them and the potential value of Mbappe.
