The good season Rodrigo Moreno is having at Leeds United is now getting some attention from the Spanish media.
Outlet Fichajes features a story where they point out the striker’s ‘resurrection’, claiming that he’s been able to ‘recover’ his ‘best version’ at Elland Road.
It’s said that with his 13 goals and two assists in 26 appearances for Leeds this season, he’s been able to ‘make the difference’ for the Whites.
That’s why Fichajes points out that by having his good form back, Rodrigo could actually earn his place with the national team again. He hasn’t played for La Roja since November 2021, but given their difficulty in finding enough centre-forward options, it’s said he could end up back in international football.
The striker’s success with Leeds this season is called ‘a resurgence that had been awaited for some time’, as there was a lot of expectation around him when he left Valencia for the Whites in a €30m move in 2020.
Since moving to Elland Road, the Spaniard has 26 goals and five assists in 88 matches. With half of them being scored this season, that shows how much of an evolution he’s been having.
