Manchester City youngster Diego Rosa is set to have his spell at Vizela cut short, according to reports from Portugal.
Outlet A Bola today reports that despite having an agreement to stay at the club until the end of the season, the midfielder is now set to break the loan and make a move to Brazil.
It’s said Rosa ‘welcomes the return’ to his home country, especially because he’d join Bahia, a club from the state he was born and who’d just been bought by Manchester City’s owners.
Things hadn’t been great for him at Vizela, where he only played 381 minutes in 11 appearances this season, and that’s why he’s seeing no resistance from the Portuguese side to let him go.
A Bola reports that Rosa is already in Brazil and his new move should be confirmed ‘in the coming hours’.
The midfielder joined Manchester City on a €6m deal from Grêmio in February 2021.
Not given any chances to prove himself under Pep Guardiola, he was immediately sent to Lommel on a loan until the summer of 2022, when he then moved to Vizela, and is now apparently going to his third consecutive loan.
