Brentford striker Halil Dervişoğlu is signing for Burnley on loan until the end of the season, with no option to buy included in the deal.

That’s according to journalist Gokmen Ozcan, who says the two clubs have already struck a deal for the Turkish forward.

Dervişoğlu returned to Brentford this summer after a loan spell at Galatasaray, where he spent the last two seasons.

He originally joined the Turkish side on loan at the end of the 2020/21 campaign and then returned last summer for a year long spell but only managed eight goals and three assists in 45 games in total.

It seems he is not a part of Brentford’s plans this season, though, and Ozcan reports he has now joined Burnley on loan until the end of the season.

They’ve been busy rebuilding under Vincent Kompany this summer but needed to add more firepower after Wout Weghorst, Matej Vydra and even Maxwel Cornet departed the club.

That’s left Burnley short up front, with no out and out strikers arriving as yet, but it seems they’ve now moved to fix that problem with a loan deal from Brentford.
