Manchester United fans were caught by surprise with the news that the Red Devils started working on the signing of Adrien Rabiot from Juventus.
And it turns out that the 27-year-old isn’t the only midfielder who the Red Devils have just turned their attention to. According to reports from Spain, the Old Trafford side have an eye on Real Betis’ Guido Rodriguez as well.
AS writes that Manchester United have already ‘started contacts’ for the Argentine player. They claim the operation could be done for a price similar to the one for Rabiot, which is around €20m.
The outlet, however, insists that the Frenchman continues to be the Red Devils’ number one option, with Rodriguez standing as an ‘alternative’ for now.
It’s worth pointing out that Betis had been keen on making big sales this summer, and today, fullback Alex Moreno publicly turned down an offer he had from Nottingham Forest.
So Manchester United could be giving the La Liga side another chance to cash in with a sale in the final month of the transfer window.
