AC Milan remain keen on Chelsea’s Hakim Ziyech this summer as they look to add ‘creativity’ to their forward line.
That’s according to Gazzetta Dello Sport, who say ‘contacts remain’ in place between the two clubs over a deal.
According to their information, getting Ziyech to change London for Milan ‘would not be so difficult’, but it is the deal with Chelsea that is proving to be tricky.
The Italians would like an ‘onerous loan’ with a right of redemption included at the end of it. That’s the same structure they used to sign Fikayo Tomori from Stamford Bridge.
Their finances are closely managed by those in charge, and at the moment, they would need Ziyech to reduce his pay packet to bring him in.
There is no mention of whether Chelsea are open or opposed to the loan deal, just that is what Milan are looking for.
The fact that Ziyech’s wages are presented as the biggest obstacle, though, suggests finding an agreement with Chelsea is not what the Italian giants are concerned about. The ball, then, is in the Moroccan’s court.
