Bayern Munich are holding talks with Crystal Palace for Chris Richards, with club chief Hasan Salihamidžić confirming as much.
We covered a report from Germany yesterday that Crystal Palace were closing in on the defender, and talks were underway for him to move to Selhurst Park.
That has now been confirmed by Bayern chief Salihamidžić who has told BILD “we’re also holding talks” when asked about the transfer.
That is backed up by Sport 1 journalist Florian Plettenburg, who says that ‘talks’ with Crystal Palace are continuing over the deal.
He says that the player has a ‘verbal agreement’ with the Eagles and ‘wants to join them’ this summer if the two sides can come to an agreement.
A move to Hoffenheim is ‘not hot’ at this stage despite him spending the last 18 months with the German club on loan.
There’s no mention of a transfer fee or contract terms at this point, just that Richards is keen on the move to Crystal Palace, and they’re working on it with Bayern.
