Back on Wednesday, we saw the Italian media first reporting Nottingham Forest’s efforts to sign Venezia midfielder Domen Crnigoj.
Outlet TuttoMercatoWeb claimed that the City Ground side had opened talks for the summer signing, and there was ‘optimism’ for ‘white smoke’ soon.
Now it’s time for Il Gazzettino to back up the talks and bring a few more words on the chances of this transfer.
The newspaper points out the negotiation for Crnigoj to move to the ‘very noble’ Nottingham Forest, claiming the signing ‘fits perfectly’ with what Venezia are trying to achieve this summer.
Pointing out that the midfielder was signed in 2020 on a free transfer from Swiss side Lugano, Il Gazzettino still can’t confirm how much would Nottingham Forest spend on the signing.
All they say is that the player will become a ‘guarantee’ of profit for Venezia, with the Italian side set to make a capital gain of ‘several million’ with the transaction.
So as it seems the talks for the move are indeed happening, we continue to wait and see how much the Reds are spending on the transfer.
