Monday’s edition of O Jogo has FC Porto’s Evanilson on the front page, with a claim Manchester United are keen on the player.
The Portuguese newspaper state a €60m offer has arrived from Old Trafford, a bid which came with a further €5m in potential bonus payments. That offer was rejected by Porto, who haven’t had the intention to sell the Brazilian this summer.
Manchester United haven’t given up and are ‘preparing a new onslaught’ for his signing. This time it’s expected the offer will be ‘closer’ to €80m, a figure Porto could find acceptable.
Brighton & Hove Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers have also been in touch, but have been ‘scared off’ by the amount of money Porto would want.
Over at Record they also cover the story and say Manchester United can reach €70m for Evanilson, with the suggestion that would be enough for Porto.
Record say the move could be dependent on Vitinha staying.
Porto need some cash in and with PSG stalling on the midfielder it would present an opportunity for someone to take the striker instead.
The 22-year-old scored 21 goals in 46 matches for Porto last season, adding five assists along the way.
