Lyon are eyeing a move for Manchester United defender Eric Bailly this summer, with him likely to leave Old Trafford.
That’s according to But! Football Club, who say the Ivorian has been placed on the transfer list by Manchester United.
They report that Bailly has grown frustrated with a lack of playing time this season, in which he has made just four appearances in the Premier League, thanks to the competition for places in United’s defence.
Those in charge have not been slow to ‘show him the exit’, and while Marseille are known admirers, his name is also on the table at Lyon.
They’re looking for an experienced player to accompany Castello Lukeba in their defence, and with Jason Denayer departing and the club looking to get rid of Jerome Boateng, they will need to sign someone.
They’ve faced problems signing Issa Diop from West Ham and so have turned to Bailly, who they looked at in 2019.
There is, though, competition for his signature as his entourage are also ‘discussing’ deals with clubs from Serie A and La Liga, with a move from Manchester United now seemingly certain.
