Following a couple of weeks of silence, we’re now back to seeing the rumours regarding Gabriel Jesus’ potential move to Arsenal this summer.
This story was brought back during the BTS show, from Youtube channel Camisa 21. There they interviewed Brazilian journalist André Hernan and asked him about any transfers that could be close to happening.
Jesus’ potential departure from Manchester City was the first one mentioned by the reporter, who’s specialised in the market. He claimed the striker could indeed be joining the Gunners in the coming months.
“There’s this story of Gabriel Jesus leaving City and going to Arsenal. It’s real, it’s (talks) really happening,” André Hernan told Camisa 21, with him attempting to convey that steps are being taken.
“I think he’s a great player. I think he’s an extremely intelligent player in terms of tactics and I think he was very badly beaten in the cup. A guy Guardiola thinks is great isn’t just any player.”
Interviewer Bolívia then mentioned that with the recent goals scored by Gabriel Jesus, the player proved that he’s still important for Pep Guardiola’s squad. Hernan claimed the striker would still have more prestige at the Emirates Stadium.
“At Arsenal, maybe he becomes the protagonist. He gets there at a different stage.”
Closing the subject, Hernan pointed out that Manchester City’s effort to sign Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund this summer is another factor which should push the Brazilian out of the club this summer.
