German magazine SportBild have a feature in their edition this week on the most wanted young talents in the Bundesliga. They’ve plucked 7 young stars out and detailed their current situations, and which club, or clubs, are interested in signing them.
Weigl and Manchester City rumours peaked last week when there were claims the Borussia Dortmund midfielder was being offered around to other clubs.
That always seemed unlikely, given he signed a new contract in December, and his representatives later denied the claims.
Along with Manchester City, SportBild say Barcelona and PSG are also keen on the Dortmund player.
Manchester City have also been linked to Julian Brandt by SportBild, a player more often linked with Liverpool.
Brandt is primarily a left midfielder, and at 20 years old is a gem Bayer Leverkusen will do well to keep hold of beyond the summer. SportBild believe the player has a buyout clause of €12.5m, only applicable in the summer 2018 transfer window.
