Martin Hansen joined Liverpool from Brondby in 2006 and stayed with the club until 2012, but never really managed to make the breakthrough at Anfield. Now on his fourth club since leaving Liverpool, Hansen plays for Bundesliga side Ingolstadt.

The 26 year old has fond memories of his time with Liverpool and was keen to share his opinion of life at Melwood, working with players he massively looked up to. Of course there was Steven Gerrard, but with Hansen being Danish he was a big gan of Daniel Agger.

Speaking to German magazine SportBild, the former Liverpool player explained: “For two and a half years I have been able to train with the first team. I was most impressed by Daniel Agger and Steven Gerrard.”

“The weather could still be so bad, but the two of them have always been noticeably proud they are in Liverpool. This mentality was great and their enthusiasm contagious.”

Surely the weather in Liverpool can’t be worse than in Hansen’s native Brondby.
