Back during the January transfer window, we saw many stories from the Italian press claiming Leeds United were trying to sign Ola Aina from Torino.

The Serie A side were said to be playing hard during the talks, demanding €10m for his exit, and in the end, the clubs could not find an agreement for the move.

It turns out that despite staying at Torino, the Leeds target hasn’t made a single appearance for the club since returning from the Africa Cup of Nations, and lives a weird situation in Turin.

As Calciomercato writes about the scenario, they point out it now seems ‘unlikely’ that he’ll stay in Italy for much longer.

That’s why director Davide Vagnati is ‘already at work’ to find the player a destination in England.

The report points out that the player already played in English football last season, having a positive loan spell at Fulham.

Now it’s said he still has ‘several admirers’ in the country, and in case Leeds are still interested in Aina, this is definitely a good time for the Whites to knock on Torino’s door and find a suitable deal this summer.

We just need to find out if Jesse Marsch likes him as much as Marcelo Bielsa seemed to.
