Wolves ‘possible destination’ for €30m+ forward this summer – Player ‘open’ to transfer

Wolverhampton Wanderers’ interest in the signing of Benfica winger Rafa Silva continues to be reported by several outlets in Portugal.

Following the stories from this week, it’s now newspaper Correio da Manhã who features a short piece on Wolves’ hunt for the 29-year-old.

The outlet writes that Silva’s time at Benfica could be running out. First because he’s ‘open’ to leaving the club this summer, and then because the Eagles also ‘admit’ his departure at the end of the season.

So Bruno Lage’s side now show up being named as a ‘possible destination’ for the player.

Even though Rafa Silva is protected by a €80m release clause, it’s claimed the minimum price for his transfer this summer will be of €30m.

Correio da Manhã doesn’t get into details of Wolves’ interest in signing the winger this summer, but the word in Portugal this week has been that the Molineux side see Silva as a replacement for Adama Traore, who could soon have his permanent move to Barcelona confirmed.
