Manchester City fans are likely bored of hearing about Ferran Torres and the possibility of the Spaniard signing for Barcelona in the January transfer window.
The Catalan media are sending claims out multiple times a day, and the current slant seems to be something like this: Torres is keen, feeling he’s ready to play a senior role for a club like Barcelona. Pep Guardiola has been informed and wouldn’t block the move if an agreement can be reached between the clubs. The Blaugrana are now looking for a formula which would make the transfer possible.
Monday’s edition of Mundo Deportivo reports that when Barcelona officials Mateu Alemany and Ferran Reverter travelled to Manchester last week, they had dinner with Guardiola at Tast, the Catalan restaurant which is backed by the Manchester City manager.
There they naturally talked about the Torres situation, with Sport explaining the situation as they see it, which largely mirrors the slant above.
Despite his young age, the midfielder has already played around 800 minutes of first team football so far this season, and was on the pitch for 80 minutes in the 3-1 victory over Villarreal at the weekend.
There’s no outright claim of how he could fit into a Torres transfer, but the idea has now been put out there.
