Over the course of the summer transfer window, there were a number of rumours suggesting that Wolverhampton Wanderers were interested in Aaron Ramsey.
The Wales star has found himself in an unwanted situation at Juventus where he hardly plays under Max Allegri, albeit being paid handsomely to do very little.
However, there are clubs still interested in him, and Wolves are one of them, as explained by Corriere dello Sport on Friday.
The newspaper explain that Juventus want to try and sell some of their deadweight to bring in a midfielder they actually want to us, and ‘the first on the list remains Ramsey’.
They point out the Welshman ‘refused everything’ in the summer, when Wolverhampton ‘tried at the very end’ of the transfer window.
Despite being turned away, Bruno Lage’s side aren’t put off, and it’s made very clear they ‘will try again’ for Ramsey in the January transfer window.
We’ll have to wait and see if they do, but considering Wolves have endured a rather average start to the Premier League, an extra experienced midfielder who knows England’s top-tier very well could go a long way in improving their standing.
