Chelsea winger Robert Kenedy is reportedly finally ready to complete his move to Flamengo.
Even though the Brazilian side had already announced they’re signing the player on a one-year loan deal, he had to stay in London following a positive Covid-19 test.
Now journalist Venê Casagrande reports that after quarantine and a negative result, Kenedy is flying to Rio de Janeiro today.
Since he had to stop training for ten days, the player is unlikely to be in the right condition to make his debut for Flamengo soon, and is expected to only play for his new club after the upcoming international break.
Kenedy is expected to stay at Flamengo until next summer, when the Brazilian side will have the option to make his move permanent for €10m.
The winger has a contract with Chelsea running until 2024, and at least while he’s out on loan, the Rio de Janeiro club will be paying for his entire salary.
