With Romelu Lukaku seemingly on his way to Chelsea, Inter are on the market for a new striker.
A few names have been mentioned here and there, with the latest being Manchester United’s Anthony Martial.
The news appears to have emerged from the English press, with it claimed Inter were interested, but the Italian media believe the idea actually stems from those close to the French striker.
That’s because Corriere dello Sport claim the Serie A side ‘were offered’ the Manchester United player, who didn’t make France’s squad for the 2020 Euros and who hasn’t been as central of a figure at Old Trafford of late.
It appears Inter didn’t really jump at the occasion, but it’s maintained it is an idea ‘which is evaluated’ by those in charge of the Italian club.
That’s all they have on the matter, but this either came directly from Manchester United, who know Inter would be looking for a new striker and could do with a sale themselves, or it came from the player’s entourage, who could be looking for a new adventure for their client.
