Victor Moses signed for Chelsea from Wigan in 2012 in a €11.5m deal. After spending a season at Stamford Bridge, Moses was sent on loan to Liverpool, Stoke City and West Ham United.
Managing just 8 goals in the last three seasons, Moses was expected to leave Chelsea on a permanent deal or go out again on a loan deal during the last summer window.
However, the Nigerian forward has managed to turnaround his Chelsea career after the arrival of Antonio Conte.
The 25-year-old has been impressive in his new wing back role, and has become a key player for Chelsea, and the club’s fans are loving it.
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has been speaking to Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, and spoke about the importance of having Moses in the team.
Conte insists he is surprised Moses has been overlooked so far by others, and it appears he is more than happy to have him in his team.
He added: “I noticed his potential from the first days of the summer retreat. Moses has important qualities: technique, physical strength, the ability to cover seventy metres of the pitch. I find it incredible that someone like him has been overlooked.”
Jose Mourinho sent Moses out on loan to Stoke City during his first year back at Chelsea, and then last season Moses was at West Ham.
