Paris Saint Germain’s interest in Tottenham Hotspur star Dele Alli is detailed in an interesting story from Le Parisien today.
The outlet claims the 24-year-old continues being the ‘number one target’ for the French side this summer, but that doesn’t mean he’ll be an easy signing.
Le Parisien’s sources say that Leonardo and Mauricio Pochettino ‘immediately’ mentioned Dele Alli’s name when discussing potential signings, especially because the club have been monitoring the player since last summer.
His arrival, however, is a little complicated, mostly due to the price demanded by Tottenham, and because a loan deal would be ‘unthinkable’.
The report points out that specialised websites say the player is worth between €30m and €40m, but Spurs would want at least €50m, something PSG won’t spend.
That’s why Alli is being watched ‘cautiously’. That’s a complicated decision for PSG, because besides being careful with their finances, they also have other players such as Julian Draxler and Rafinha for the position.
The French side aren’t expected to sign anyone else in January, with the report making it clear that the opportunity of getting the Tottenham player would be the only one in their plans.
