We are now in the final week of the transfer window, and Manchester United and Jadon Sancho remains ultra quiet in the German media.
Despite multiple claims from England of an impending offer set to be launched from Old Trafford, there’s really not a great deal of fuss in the media closest to Borussia Dortmund.
In the past they may have taken English claims and had fun dismissing them, however, even that isn’t tickling their attention at this moment in time.
Marco Reus has spoken to the media ahead of Dortmund’s Supercup match against Bayern Munich, which is happening on Wednesday evening, and he was asked to talk about Erling Haaland, Robert Lewandowski… and Jadon Sancho.
On the man Manchester United fans want their club to sign in the coming days, Reus is quoted by WAZ as saying: “For us it is great, we’re all happy he remains at least another year. He gives us a lot of goals and assists, so we get a lot of points. He’s a very important player. It remains to be seen whether he will be as big as Messi and Ronaldo. For that he needs a little time and experience.”
Of course, Reus was hardly going to say he thinks Sancho will be unveiled alongside Fred the Red over the next week, but he does sound convinced his teammate is staying where he is for the current season.
