Watford forward Ignacio Pussetto ‘pushes again’ for a return to Udinese, according to Messaggero Veneto.
The Hornets signed the forward from the Serie A side in January, and now the player is ‘pushing’ for a move back to his old club.
Both clubs are owned by the Pozzo family, and the report states Gino isn’t in the favour of seeing the 24-year-old join the Italian side.
Udinese manager Luca Gotti has preferred 3-5-2 formation and it would be difficult for him to fit Pussetto in his tactics if his side end up signing the Argentine.
Even though he has not made it public, the outlet adds Gotti would ‘not be against having a Pussetto as an ace up his sleeve’.
“Pussetto? We already have Forestieri, who is not the last to arrive and was requested by Gotti, with those characteristics. Then the market paths are endless, but given his characteristics, it is difficult to place him in our tactical plans,” Marino said.
Meanwhile, Pussetto’s Watford teammate Roberto Pereyra is also on the radar of Udinese and Sevilla.
Pereyra finds the proposal from the Europa League winners attractive, but his future could be in the hands of ‘Udinford’ [Udinese + Watford], as the Italian club view him as a player who could replace Rodrigo De Paul.
Leeds United are interested in De Paul, but the Whites have not met the €40m demanded by his employer, meaning that route is currently blocked.
