Turkish newspaper Fotomac report Besiktas are looking to replace Burak Yilmaz by signing Everton forward Cenk Tosun on a loan deal.
Besiktas’ captain Burak Yilmaz is in advanced talks with French club Lille and it’s expected the 35 year old will leave in the coming days.
Fotomac claim Besiktas manager Sergen Yalcin has met with club’s board and told them signing Tosun could help to fill the void left by Yilmaz.
It’s reported Yalcin has also had talks with the Everton striker, and despite Tosun’s initial reservations about a return to the Super Lig, he’s managed to convince the Turkey international to move to Besiktas.
According to Fotomac, Besiktas’ board will open talks with Everton to loan their former striker for next season.
Tosun desperately needs first-team football ahead of the Euros next summer, but he’s still recovering from a knee injury which he picked up when he was on loan at Crystal Palace.
Tosun’s contract with Everton will expire at the end of June 2022.
