Fotospor report Southampton will allow Lemina to remain at Galatasaray for another season, with both clubs in talks over extending his loan.
The midfielder joined the Turkish club at the start of the season and has established himself as an important member of Fatih Terim’s team.
Lemina previously stated he would like to stay at Galatasaray beyond this season, and previous reports from the Turkish media claimed they are looking to keep him.
It’s reported Southampton are content with Lemina staying at Galatasaray and it’s expected an agreement will be reached in the near future. Initially the Saints wanted to sell the player outright for €16m, but the Istanbul side can’t pay this.
Southampton signed Lemina from Juventus for €17.25m in 2017, and he left the Premier League club last summer after failing to impress Ralph Hasenhüttl.
The 26 year old has made 25 appearances for Galatasaray in all competitions this season, scoring one goal. His contract with Southampton will expire at the end of June 2022.
