Willian’s staff have denied that the Chelsea player has agreed a move to Tottenham Hotspur.
Despite the latest reports from the English press saying the player could be joining José Mourinho in North London, the winger’s entourage has turned down the rumours when speaking to ESPN Brasil reporter João Castelo Branco.
On his Twitter account, the journalist says Willian’s staff denied any type of contact with Mourinho regarding a move to Tottenham.
João Castello Branco also thinks the player is actually signing for Arsenal. He makes it clear that this is a guess, and not information he received.
Willian’s contract with Chelsea expires at the end of the season, and the player has made it public he hasn’t found an agreement to extend his deal.
The winger has always claimed how much he loves to live in London, with his wife recently posting a video on Instagram suggesting they should stay in the city.
That’s why it makes a lot of sense that Arsenal and Tottenham are the frontrunners in this race.
Assessoria do @willianborges88 diz que não teve contato recente com o Mourinho sobre uma transferência para o Tottenham.
Um jornalista na Inglaterra diz que é negócio certo, já repercute no Brasil.
Tudo completamente negado por Willian.
Eu ainda acho que acaba no Arsenal.— Joao Castelo-Branco (@j_castelobranco) May 6, 2020
