Out of contract in the summer, Pedro Chirivella doesn’t appear to be set for a future at Liverpool.
Despite getting a number of appearances in cup games against the likes of Shrewsbury, MK Dons and Aston Villa, the midfielder looks like he will be a free agent in the summer, and his representatives have already started sounding out potential landing spots.
The ideal scenario would be for Chirivella to get regular first-team football, and one of the clubs contacted, according to Superdeporte, is Levante UD.
Down Levante’s end, all they’ve done is listen for now, and no movement has been made, simply waiting to see how the current Coronavirus crisis evolves.
This all appears to be driven by the Liverpool player’s agents, who are looking at what options their client has, so we wouldn’t read too much into it just yet.
Still, a move to Levante would mean a return to Valencia, the city he was born in, and if it were ever to take place, it’s a transfer that could see him finally make his debut in La Liga, seven years after he was plucked out of Valencia’s youth system.
