Chelsea continue to be linked with a move for Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana.
It’s getting repeat coverage in the Spanish media, because Barcelona are interested in taking their former goalkeeper back.
Barca interest is based on the idea that Marc-Andre ter Stegen may not renew his contract with the La Liga club. That scenario could be considered a long shot, given how happy the German stopper is with his life in Spain, and playing for the Catalan club.
That would theoretically make things easier for Chelsea, and Sport report the Premier League club ‘dream’ of signing the Ajax player.
Whether he’d be enough of an upgrade on Kepa is questionable, and it could be a case of the Blues checking out potential options ahead of really deciding what to do with the Spaniard.
Sport back that idea up, and it’s explained Chelsea have taken a step back, waiting to see what happens with the summer market.
Ajax, meanwhile, have set an asking price of €40m, although it’s thought they may accept players as part of the fee.
