Turkish website Futbol Arena claim Galatasaray midfielder Steven Nzonzi, who’s currently on loan with the Super Lig club from AS Roma, has rejected a chance to join Sheffield United.
Sheffield United have been linked with the player in the past few weeks.
It’s reported the Premier League side made an offer to sign the Frenchman, but the 31 year old didn’t want to join the Blades, informing them he wanted to play for a ‘more prestigious club’ ahead of the Euros this summer.
Futbol Arena also say Everton and West Ham United are still in talks with the player over a potential move, and that he’s expected to leave Gala before the end of the transfer window.
The former Stoke City and Blackburn player is currently training with Galatasaray’s reserve team after being left out by their manager Fatih Terim towards the back end of last year.
Nzonzi has made 15 appearances for the Turkish champions in all competitions this season. His contract with AS Roma will expire at the end of June 2022.
