There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Everton and West Ham United are still interested in signing Steven Nzonzi in this transfer window.

The Frenchman is currently on loan with Galatasaray from AS Roma, but his future in Istanbul looks uncertain, leading to reports he could be heading back to the Premier League.

Futbol Arena have reported on the latest developments regarding the future of Nzonzi and they say Everton and West Ham are still ‘conducting transfer negotiations’ to sign the former Blackburn Rovers and Stoke City man.

Both Premier League teams will be looking to add to their squads following recent managerial changes, with the player still an option for David Moyes and Carlo Ancelotti.

It’s also claimed Nzonzi has turned down a move to Sheffield United despite an offer. The central midfielder reportedly wants to a sign for a bigger club in order to enhance his chances getting into the French squad for this summer’s Euros.

The player is contracted with AS Roma until June 2023.
