Norwich City, Brighton & Hove Albion, Aston Villa and West Ham United are all interested in Genk star Mbwana Ally Samatta, if claims coming out of Belgium are to be believed.
The Canaries, Graham Potter’s side, Dean Smith’s side and the Hammers are reportedly in the market looking for a new striker.
According to Het Laatste Nieuws¸ the 27-year-old has also been on the radar of clubs from the Middle East and had proposals to move there.
However, the Tanzania international has decided to snub approaches from the Middle Eastern sides in order to make a switch to England. The report’s headline reads ‘Samatta on his way to England’.
Samatta has impressed for the Jupiler Pro League side this season, scoring 10 goals and managing two assists in all competitions. He is Genk’s top scorer.
The aforementioned four Premier League clubs are linked with the Genk striker, but HLN’s report doesn’t specify as to which of those sides or any other club have won the race to acquire his services.
There’s clearly some unknowns here, but it’s Norwich, Brighton, Aston Villa and West Ham pushed forward as the interested parties.
