AC Milan are targeting a move for Bournemouth goalkeeper Asmir Begović as a replacement for Pepe Reina.

Reina is set to join Aston Villa on loan until the end of the season, with them targeting the 37-year-old after Tom Heaton was ruled out for the rest of the season.

That leaves Milan looking for a new number two to replace the Spanish keeper, and Begović is the man they want.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, they have identified the Bournemouth goalkeeper as their number one target for the soon to be vacant number two keeper slot.

The website reports Milan originally had a list of three targets, with Burnley’s Joe Hart and West Ham’s Łukasz Fabiański alongside Begović.

They have put Begović at the top of that list, though, and now need to try and arrange a deal with Bournemouth for the 32-year-old.

TMW make no mention of whether Milan want the Bosnia international on loan or permanently, although a deal would first have to be arranged to get the keeper back to Bournemouth, as he is currently on loan at Qarabag.
