Barcelona failed to sign Neymar last summer after Paris Saint-Germain blocked his exit.
On December 24th, Mundo Deportivo explained the forward still remains a priority target for the La Liga winners.
There’s been comments suggesting the Catalan club may sacrifice Ousmane Dembélé and Antoine Griezmann to accommodate the Brazil international.
However, sources close to Griezmann have told Mundo Deportivo he has no plans to leave the Camp Nou. On the contrary, the Frenchman wouldn’t have any problem or pose any obstacle regarding Neymar’s possible transfer.
Griezmann is aware Neymar’s arrival would see the latter form a partnership with Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez to lead Barca’s attack. He’s also aware of the good chemistry shared between the trio. This could see him lose prominence in the team.
Messi and Suarez will turn 33 before the start of next season and the duo may not feature regularly. This could allow Griezmann to get opportunities, even if Barca sign Neymar. He also shares a good relation with the South American.
Based on all these factors, the World Cup winner has has given his ‘OK’ to Barca signing the PSG star.
Griezmann is of the belief that more quality in the side is better and having signed a five-year contract in 2019, the 28-year-old is aware he’s part of the project at Barcelona.
