According to claim in the Turkish media, Besiktas have already entered into talks with regards to the future of Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius.

In recent weeks there have been reports the Super Lig side will looking to activate the redemption clause they have for the German, but today it’s claimed they are now looking for a discount from the Premier League side.

As previously reported Besiktas can make Karius move permeant by paying Liverpool €8m, which has again been backed up by Fotospor.

However, the Turkish media outlet say the Black Eagles want a reduced transfer fee from the Merseyside club and are in discussions to get an agreement. There have been reports Besiktas were prepared to activate the €8m clause, but wanted to pay this in instalments over four years.

Karius started the season poorly with the Turkish side, leading to some claims he could be heading back to Anfield in January. In recent weeks the Liverpool loanee has returned to form and he’s been key in his side’s climb up the Super Lig table.

The player is contracted to Liverpool until June 2021.
