Manchester City’s chase for the Peruvian wonderkid Kluiverth Aguilar continues to sound pretty strange, and it’s not being forgotten by the local media.
For the past couple of weeks, we’ve covered a few reports which made it sound like there’s something real going on for the transfer of the 16-year-old.
First, an Allianza Lima player said the Premier League side ‘bought’ his teammate. Then the club manager confirmed the negotiations.
And Aguilar’s potential move to Manchester City has now been mentioned once again, this time by outlet Depor. They actually bring a story about another player, Dylan Caro, who’s moving to Turkey, but talk about the right-back as well.
They say that just like Caro, Aguilar is also moving to Europe, ‘even though Alianza Lima deny his sale to Manchester City’.
Depor doesn’t bring a lot more on that, so it’s not clear if they believe Aguilar is moving to Manchester City or simply to any European side.
Of course the Peruvian club wouldn’t confirm the deal before making it official, so let’s keep following this story.
