Earlier on Tuesday, we covered a story about Birmingham City’s alleged interest in Inter forward George Puscas, but Reading FC have allegedly now joined the race.
The Championship side were allegedly the best offer on the Romania international’s table among a bunch of other English clubs, with the Series A side hoping to make €10m from the 23-year-old’s sale.
We questioned that fee at the time, as most clubs in England’s second-tier would struggle to afford that amount, and the same could be said for the Royals.
According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Reading ‘have reaffirmed’ their strong interests in the player and are ‘ready to sign him definitively’.
That means they want him on a full transfer and have allegedly offered him a five-year contract.
TuttoMercatoWeb state Reading ‘seem to have an advantage’ compared to the other teams after him, which include Birmingham, who are said too ‘still be pressing’.
Puscas spent last season on loan at Palermo in Serie B, where he scored nine goals in 33 appearances, as well as assisting his teammates three times.
