Paul Pogba took part in a behind closed doors training match for Manchester United on Sunday, having missed the club’s match against AC Milan the day before.
There had been a Spanish slant that the midfielder has refused to play against the Serie A side, although it wasn’t pushed strongly be the major outlets.
Monday’s edition of Marca sounds pretty pessimistic for Real Madrid’s hopes of signing the World Cup winner. They state that unless Manchester United go lower than €120m in their asking price… there will be ‘no agreement’.
Marca blame the English press for the claim of Pogba refusing to play, which they probably feel backs up their own stance.
Real Madrid are said to be attentive to Manchester United’s moves in the market, but even that isn’t looking good for a Pogba exit right now.
And, largely, the story from Marca is that nothing has changed. Zinedine Zidane really wants the player, Manchester United don’t want to sell, and Real Madrid aren’t prepared to go to financial levels which may tempt the Red Devils.
Marca weakly link Bale with United and Tottenham, yet there doesn’t appear anything in that.
There’s about three and a half days left before the Premier League incoming window slams shut.
