Fotboll Direkt have an interesting report on Monday evening for Huddersfield Town.
They claim the Championship club are set to appoint David Webb as the club’s Head of Football Operations.
Webb is currently with Swedish club Östersund and Huddersfield will be paying compensation to buy him out of his contract there.
Fotboll Direkt reports that talks have been going on for a while between the various parties involved in the switch, and this is the outcome for the Terriers.
They don’t reveal how much compensation Huddersfield will be paying to Östersund.
OFK are now chasing a replacement for Webb as the club continue to deal with changes both on and off the pitch.
It’s explained his role with the English side will be ‘prominent’, with the insinuation being he wouldn’t have moved for something less important.
Relegated from the Premier League last season, Huddersfield will be looking to build steadily again and plan a return to the big time as soon as possible.
