As America striker Roger Martinez continues to be linked to a move to Sheffield United, it seems he doesn’t mind being on the news every day.
Playing against Monterrey this week, the player scored a goal and refused to celebrate. The attitude wasn’t taken very well by his club, according to Record.
The outlet says America consider him to have no reason to act like that, since he has a long contract with the club ahead, and more importantly, there are no offers for him to leave.
The Mexican side are promising to analyse any bid that comes for him, but as long as they get nothing, he has no real motive to rebel against the club.
Covering the claims, website Futbol Total says America continue to demand US$20m for his transfer. They say the only club who have been linked to him lately is Sheffield United, so perhaps Martinez is still waiting for the Blades to bid for him.
