Fenerbahce have made a bid for Huddersfield Town defender Zanka, reports Turkish newspaper Takvim.
The Turkish giants have recently been linked with a move for the Danish defender and Takvim say the Yellow Canaries have made their first move by offering €3.5m for the 29 year old.
It’s claimed Fenerbahce manager Ersun Yanal wants the Turkish club’s board to sign at least one central defender this summer due to the situation with Martin Skrtel. The Slovakia intentional is now out of contract and has been linked with a move to Rangers.
Takvim say Fener are hoping Zanka’s contract situation, wit his deal expiring at the end of next season, could help them to get him on the cheap and the Turkish club believe they can find an agreement with Huddersfield Town.
The Terriers are also said to be looking to sell the Dane after their relegation from the Premier League, which strengthens Fenerbahce’s hand.
Zanka played 25 games for the West Yorkshire club last season, scoring one league goal.
