Pep Guardiola has been taking part in the Costa Brava Legends Trophy and around he event, he spoke to the Spanish media about several topics.
The Manchester City manager’s future has again been under question this week, with claims flying between Italy and England and losing a little more truth with each journey they make.
Guardiola had already made it very clear he wouldn’t be leaving the Premier League champions for Juventus, but his words haven’t done much to kill the much loved rumours.
There’s also been talk of another sabbatical break, and that appears to be annoying the Catalan.
He’s quoted by Mundo Deportivo as saying: “I do not take a sabbatical. The news comes out, is repeated and is not checked. I have two years of contract and, if they do not kick me out, I will continue.”
That should really end the claims about a potential exit from Manchester City either for a sabbatical or a another club. Will it? Probably not.
He was also asked about Eden Hazard, and managed to make a point about spending: “Real Madrid have signed a very good player… We are not the only ones who spend money.”
