Having joined AS Monaco from Anderlecht last summer, Youri Tielemans joined Leicester City on a loan deal in January.
The Belgium international impressed during his time at the King Power Stadium, scoring three goals and registering four assists in 13 league appearances.
His entourage tells DH in Belgium the player has “made a name for himself in England” after a short spell with the Foxes, and the midfielder’s value is now in excess of €50m.
On Thursday, the 22-year-old admitted it is unlikely he will return to his parent club next season.
It’s clear a move to another club in the summer is on the cards, but neither the player nor his entourage are willing to give out any details about his next possible destination.
The only thing the latter keeps stressing is that Tielemans has been presented “beautiful projects”.
Tielemans is quoted as saying: “I do not know what can be considered the absolute top club, but I find, for example, Leicester are a great club with great ambitions.”
Brendan Rodgers’ side would need at least €50m to complete the former Jupiler Pro League star’s signing, according to the claims, but they are not the only club chasing him.
There have been reports linking Tielemans to Leicester, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotpsur and Manchester City and he has left his representative to sort out his future.
“I let my entourage take care of it, I’m focused on the pitch,” said Tielemans.
