On June 6th, we relayed news from Italy that Tottenham Hotspur have ‘already prepared their first official offer’ to sign Joachim Andersen from Sampdoria.
The report didn’t specify the details of the proposal tabled by Spurs for the Denmark international.
Tutto Mercato Web provides the figures of the offer from Mauricio Pochettino’s side, and also claims Arsenal are interested in signing the centre-back and his club teammate Dennis Praet.
It’s stated the Champions League finalist would be ready to table a €25m for the Dane, while their arch rivals ‘would have put’ €45m offer for Andersen and the attacking midfielder.
Another Italian outlet Sampnews24.com claims Unai Emery’s side have made an initial offer of €42m for Andersen and Praet, which was turned down by their club.
The same report also explains that in the next few hours, Arsenal are planning to ‘raise the proposal’ to €50m, which could please Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero.
Atletico Madrid and Sevilla are also chasing the Belgian, while Tottenham are after Andersen.
Any approach for Arsenal for the two players will see them face tough competition.
