Leeds United attacker Pawel Cibicki has told the Swedish media he wants a solution over his future with reports Elfsborg can redeem the player for 10m Krona (£830k).
The Swede is currently on loan with the Allsvenskan side after failing to hold a place down in the Leeds United starting eleven.
Fotboll Direkt have reported on comments Cibicki made to Borås Tidning when asked about his future with Elsfborg: “We go on vacation on Monday and we don’t have a match for a few weeks, but at the same time I have to become clear with what is happening ahead.
“I don’t want to go but I’ve been told by everyone involved that we should find a solution during the break.”
Elfsborg sporting director has also spoken to Boras Tidning and he’s informed them they need to get an agreement with those involved if they are to keep the player: “It is a little early but of course we will look over the possibilities of having Pawel with us during the break.
“I feel that we have a good dialogue with Leeds, but there are three parties that must agree. I do not doubt that Pawel thrives with us.”
The 25 year old joined Leeds United in 2017 but failed to make a real impact in his time at Elland Road and was subsequently loaned to Molde and then Elfsborg. Cibicki failed to hold down a regular place in the Leeds United starting eleven, playing just a handful of games.
Since his loan move from Leeds United in January the attacker has impressed, scoring four goals in nine league games for Elfsborg.
However, his future with the Elland Road club looks uncertain despite the form he’s shown with Elfsborg and a return to his home country could be an option this summer.
