Haberturk claim Fenerbahce manager Ersun Yanal and their sporting director Damien Comolli have identified transfer targets ahead of next season, which includes Huddersfield Town defender Zanka.
The Turkish side are looking to sign at least one central defender for next season and Haberturk claim Zanka currently tops Fenerbahce’s shortlist.
Fener are in the market for a defender with Martin Skrtel and Roman Neustadter expected to leave during this transfer window when their contracts expire next month.
It’s reported the Turkish club are in a strong position to sign the Huddersfield player as it’s likely the 29-year old will leave the Terriers’ after their relegation to the Championship.
According to Haberturk, if Fenerbahce manage to convince Zanka over a move to Turkey they will make an offer to Huddersfield United for the Denmark international.
Zanka made 25 appearances for Huddersfield this season in all competitions and he’s under contract with the Yorkshire club until June 2020.
