Marca have a big feature today on potential Real Madrid signings this summer, and Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen gets a mention.
There’s nothing genuinely concrete from the Spanish newspaper, as they look at various options from Eden Hazard to Neymar.
Paul Pogba is a player manager Zinedine Zidane really wants, but those in charge of the money at Real Madrid aren’t entirely convinced on the Manchester United star. They feel he’s too inconsistent to justify what it would cost in terms of transfer fee and salary.
It’s even claimed Manchester United want €180m for their midfielder, which seems a little fanciful given Pogba hasn’t really looked like a player worth that amount of money this season.
Therefore, Eriksen is an alternative to Pogba. It’s stated he ‘wants’ a transfer to Real Madrid but ‘manages Bayern Munich interest’ at the same time. It’s once again claimed Tottenham asked for €250m last summer, and now it’s thought they’d want around half of that.
Regarding the Bayern interest, whilst it wouldn’t be a surprise for the Bundesliga club to be keen in the Tottenham player, there’s been no big pushing of this in the German media. It’s simply not a story there.
