Chelsea’s interest in the Roma defender Nicolo Zaniolo is once again mentioned by the Italian media this Thursday.
The story is mostly focused on Juventus, as Tuttosport reports that club officials have met the player’s agent in a hotel in Madrid.
Then when speaking of the difficulties the Old Lady would have to sign the 19-year-old, the Turin newspaper mentions the competition, which would be formed by Chelsea and Real Madrid.
But there are other concerns as well. Tuttosport claims that Roma have no intention of losing Zaniolo soon, as the club’s plan is to ‘build a team around him’ in the future.
That’s why the club are already planning to give the player a new contract, and at the moment, the minimum price to get him would be €50m.
This heavy competition doesn’t make it unlikely that a club will pay all that for the midfielder, and now it seems Juventus are one step ahead of Chelsea and co. after making contact with his entourage.
