According to a claim in the Italian media, West Ham United are showing an interest in Napoli midfielder Amadou Diawara.
Yesterday there were claims in Italy that Fiorentina are closing in on Hammers midfielder Pedro Obiang and it’s claimed the Premier League are targeting Diawara as a replacement for the Spaniard.
We covered reports the Viola have made an offer for Obiang and West Ham are set to give an answer on if he can head back to Serie A.
The player has struggled to get games with the London side this season and may look to move before the deadline.
TMW report the Premier League side, along with Fiorentina, could be looking to bring in Diawara. However, it’s reported Napoli manager Carlo Ancelotti has vetoed the sale of his central midfielder in this transfer window.
Napoli still have a glimmer of hope in the league title race and will need to keep their squad together until the end of the season.
