For some months, the Catalan media have been keen to talk up Premier League interest in Denis Suarez.
The Barcelona squad player has become increasingly frustrated at the club as he’s seen others move ahead of him and minutes increasingly difficult to come by.
Arsenal and Chelsea were the first clubs linked in the latest batch of rumours, with it being explained more than once that Suarez would quite fancy playing for Unai Emery again, as he did at Sevilla, because he feels comfortable with the style of football.
In recent days, West Ham and Everton have been pulled in, the latter specifically by Sunday’s edition of Sport.
The Catalan newspaper say Everton have been interested because Suarez is a ‘high quality footballer’ who could be signed for a ‘modest amount of money’.
Sport believe Suarez will leave Barcelona at the end of the season, and they insist he’s got a great reputation among Premier League clubs.
Since they signed Lucas Digne, Yerry Mina and Andre Gomes there’s a reasonable chance Everton will be linked to every Barca player looking to move for the foreseeable future.
